Description
As the Lead Patient Care Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients and a key driver in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a warm and professional demeanor, and the ability to lead and support front office staff. You'll work closely with therapists, patients, and other team members to maintain a supportive, efficient, and patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients with professionalism, empathy, and warmth
- Manage the daily schedule and oversee appointment bookings, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Lead and train front desk staff, ensuring top-notch service and consistency
- Collect co-pays and manage billing inquiries
- Communicate closely with our billing and collections team
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans, policies, and procedures
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and front office
- Handle patient concerns and escalate issues as needed
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain accurate patient records
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a medical office or physical therapy setting (preferred)
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with EMR systems and scheduling software
- Passionate about patient care and team collaboration
