Overview
Are you detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about delivering great customer service? Join the growing team here at Physical Therapy Billing Services as a Billing Specialist, where you'll play a key role supporting Physical Therapy practitioners. This is a back-office focused on medical billing and coding; no prior experience is required, and we’ll provide comprehensive training for the right candidate!

Note that this is a back-office position and does not directly work in a doctors office.
What You’ll Do
- Accurately process and manage billing for medical services in compliance with current regulations.
- Apply ICD-10 and ICD-9 codes to diagnoses and procedures (we’ll teach you!).
- Review and update patient accounts, ensuring billing accuracy.
- Communicate with insurance companies about claims, denials, and appeals.
- Follow up with patients and insurers on outstanding balances.
- Keep clear and organized records of transactions, payments, and invoices.
- Partner with medical office staff to resolve billing questions.
- Stay informed on billing regulations and updates in medical coding practices.
What You Bring
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies.
- Excellent communication skills - comfortable speaking with clients and providers over the phone and via email.
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Proficiency with computers and comfort working on them daily.
Bonus! (But Not Required):
- Experience in billing, medical administration, or a support role.
- Familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9, DRG, and/or medical collections.
- Knowledge of billing software or EHR systems.
