What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician Specialist position at PHYSICAL PLANT?
The State College Area School District is looking for an Electrician Specialist to provide students, staff, and visitors with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient educational environment. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in repair of electrical systems and equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, paid hourly, and potential for overtime.
Starting at $25.40/hour. Retirement, Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits included.
The ideal candidate should have the following skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, heating and air conditioning systems, blueprints, including inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing and replacing commercial equipment and systems.
- Ability to enter and retrieve information from a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and in writing, with a wide variety of individuals and groups.
- Ability to work without direct supervision following the National Electrical Code as well as state and local building regulations.
- Possess or have ability to earn EPA 608, universal technician’s certification within 180 days.
