Position Overview (Volunteer)

We are seeking passionate, driven Community Event Managers (Volunteer) to help lead and grow SVE's Physical AI Builder Community across Silicon Valley, Austin, and online. As a key organizer, you will be the connective tissue entrepreneurs shaping the future of physical AI. This is a high-impact volunteer role for someone who thrives on community, operates with ownership, and wants to stand at the frontier of one of tech’s most exciting transformations.

What You’ll Do

Event Planning & Community Programming

• Plan, organize, and host monthly meetups that unite AI builders, developers, and researchers across your city or online.
• Curate event themes, speakers, and formats that reflect the cutting edge of entrepreneurship.
• Help shape and support major events including the Physical AI Summit and F50 Builders Series.
• Build a collaborative environment where ideas become breakthroughs and connections become companies.

Community Growth & Engagement

• Grow SVE’s presence in your local market — by engaging new members and deepening existing relationships.
• Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to accelerate content creation, outreach, and community communications.
• Collaborate with partners including F50, Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs, and GTM Firm to expand reach and programming.

What We’re Looking For

• A natural community builder who energizes the people around them and creates belonging wherever they go.
• Genuine passion for AI — whether that’s LLM, GenAI, robotics, autonomous systems, embodied intelligence, hardware, or real-world AI applications.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to bring structure and momentum to creative, fast-moving projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English — you know how to tell a story that gets people in the room.
• Self-starter energy: you don’t wait for permission, you take initiative and follow through.

Nice to Have

• Background or coursework in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical field.
• Prior experience organizing events, managing communities, or leading volunteer programs.
• Network in the Bay Area, Austin, or global physical AI / deep tech ecosystem.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is a bonus given SVE’s global audience.

• Commitment: Flexible — approximately 1-2 events per month, scaling around event periods
