Job Description Job: Director of Trade Partnerships Location: Remote or Hybrid (Preferred US or Canada Major Metro) Reports to the CEO About Us Phyn is changing the way people think about water. With the strategic capital and backing now in place, we’re scaling rapidly—and we’re building a high-performance team to lead the charge! The Role We’re hiring a Director of Partner Program – Trades to build and scale our nationwide trade partner network across North America. This role is ideal for a program builder who understands the plumbing and trade industries and knows how to connect operational scale with exceptional field quality. From recruiting and training trade partners to ensuring consistency and excellence in every install, this leader will play a pivotal role in shaping how Phyn delivers value to homeowners, builders, insurance partners and property managers. Working at Phyn Our team can choose where they work—whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. Our HQ is based in Los Angeles, but interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership – Design, implement, manage, and scale the Phyn Preferred Installer Program to serve homeowners, builders, and property managers across the U.S. and Canada. Recruitment & Onboarding – Identify, vet, and sign-up qualified trade professionals (e.g., plumbing and electrical firms); collaborate with legal, product, and support teams to draft and manage partner agreements. Training & Certification – Build and deliver training programs to ensure partners can install, support, and represent Phyn consistently. Program Development – Design incentive structures, rate agreements, referral programs, and growth initiatives for trade partners. Relationship Management – Provide ongoing support, communication, and performance tracking to strengthen engagement across the installer network. Quality & Standardization – Ensure service quality, installation consistency, and pricing alignment across all partners. Tools & Enablement – Partner with internal teams to develop workflows, portals, and self-service tools that enable scale. Community Engagement – Act as primary liaison between Phyn and its installer community—gathering feedback, improving communication, and driving loyalty. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Sales and Customer Experience to ensure smooth customer-to-installer handoffs and post-installation satisfaction. Qualifications 5 years of experience in channel development, trade program management, or partner enablement—ideally in plumbing, HVAC, or smart home technology industries. Strong knowledge of North American trade ecosystems and installer mindsets. Proven ability to build and manage trade programs with incentive structures and performance tracking. Experience translating field-level challenges into scalable operational processes. Excellent program design, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Comfortable engaging with trade professionals, from small shops to large contractors. Strategic thinker with a builder’s mindset—able to go from vision to execution at scale. Join Us!
