Role Description
This is a full-time Medical Assistant, located in Peoria, Arizona. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for medical assisting tasks, using medical terminology, managing primarily back office and occasional front office medical responsibilities, including answering phone calls, office charting, checking patients in, completing patient paperwork, sterilizing instruments, preparing for procedures, obtaining vitals, rooming patients, direct patient care, removing and changing dressings, assisting in office procedures, scheduling patient appointments and follow up. We are looking for someone who is passionate, detail oriented, organized, great at multi-tasking, great communication skills particularly with patients, efficient, team player and willing to learn. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Qualifications
- Medical Assisting and Patient Care skills
- Customer Service/Communication
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Medical Records management
- Experience in a Medical Office setting, preferably surgical specialty or procedure oriented office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Certification in Medical Assisting
- Previous experience in surgery is beneficial
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
