PHS West is currently hiring a service technician responsible for providing technical service support to PHS West customers along with other relevant duties outlined below.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow safety and manufacturing procedures
- Provide technical service support to PHS West customers and third party technicians for preventative maintenance, standard repair and replacement situations including basic troubleshooting
- Escalate complex troubleshooting situations to Service Technician II or SME Team
- Conduct inbound inspections of custom manufactured purchased products including electrical components
- Conduct outbound inspections of electrical components
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Maintain a clean, well-organized work environment
- Provide assistance to research and development and production departments as requested
- Must be willing to travel (some overnights) on occasion to support a factory technician
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills Required
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Computer skills (email, calendar, word processing)
- Interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Electrical aptitude including the ability to read electrical schematics
- Familiarity with blueprints, hand and power tools, electrical diagnostic tools and inspection equipment
- Time management and organization skills
Education and Experience
- Relevant Technical School Diploma or Certification or high school diploma (or equivalent) and two years prior mechanical, electrical assembly experience required
- Technical support and service experience desired
- Familiarity with low-voltage DC power applications desired
- Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems desired
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
