Position Summary
The .NET Technical Lead will be a hands-on technical lead responsible for application ownership, solutioning, production troubleshooting, and leading a distributed development team. The role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues, and effective communication with business and technology stakeholders.
The candidate should be comfortable supporting and enhancing existing/legacy applications while driving technical improvements and mentoring onsite and offshore team members.
Responsibilities
· Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise .NET applications.
· Own production troubleshooting, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and technical escalations.
· Provide hands-on technical support for complex production issues and drive them through resolution.
· Provide technical solutioning for business requirements, application enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
· Act as a technical point of contact for business and technology stakeholders.
· Lead and coordinate a distributed onsite/offshore development team.
· Analyze existing applications and identify opportunities for technical and architectural improvements.
· Apply software engineering and architecture best practices to build scalable and highly available enterprise systems.
· Guide and mentor developers on system design, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
· Identify technical bottlenecks and risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
· Lead code reviews and ensure overall quality of technical deliverables.
· Estimate development efforts and support planning and timely delivery.
· Work closely with QA, Product, and other technology teams through development, deployment, and production support.
Required Skills
· 8 years of software development experience with strong hands-on C#/.NET/.NET Core expertise.
· 3 years of experience as a Technical Lead or Lead Developer.
· Strong hands-on production troubleshooting and application support experience.
· Experience debugging complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, and managing technical escalations.
· Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise and legacy applications in production.
· Experience with .NET Core, Web API, REST APIs, and Microservices.
· Experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
· Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
· Experience with Cloud environments and Agile/Scrum delivery.
· Understanding of software architecture patterns, object-oriented design, testing principles, and engineering best practices.
· Experience leading and coordinating onsite and offshore teams.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with business and technical stakeholders.
· Self-starter with the ability to take ownership and work independently in an onsite lead capacity.
Preferred Skills
· BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
· Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
· Experience with HTML5/CSS3 and responsive web applications.
· Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL.
· Experience with automated build and deployment/CI/CD.
· Experience securing public-facing APIs.
· Experience with messaging, NoSQL, and data integration technologies.
