Role Description
The National Account Specialist - West supports key accounts, national accounts, health systems, and other healthcare organizations within the California territory. This role will assist in maintaining contracts, driving utilization of home phototherapy, and supporting the Strategic Accounts team in operational and administrative tasks. This role will report directly to the VP of Sales with daily communication with the National Account Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Account Support & Management:
- Assist in analyzing health plans, identifying opportunities, and support utilization of home phototherapy.
- Support the Strategic Accounts team research, reporting, and outreach to payers and providers.
- Help monitor contract performance and utilization metrics.
- Provide support in coordinating with healthcare organizations, partners, and providers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to support payer or contract-related activities.
- Participate in initiatives to promote adoption of phototherapy for assigned accounts.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Assist in building strong relationships with providers and payers by responding to inquiries, providing product education, and supporting contract administration.
- Gather feedback from customers and escalate trends, issues, or opportunities to the Strategic Accounts team.
- Help prepare account reports and maintain accurate CRM data.
Performance & Metrics Support:
- Assist in tracking KPIs and metrics for assigned accounts.
- Provide insights from data to help improve account performance and utilization.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This is an individual contributor role. No direct reports, but close collaboration with Strategic Accounts leadership is required.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with healthcare organizations, payers, or insurance providers is a plus.
- Exposure to medical devices, healthcare services, or pharmacy benefits is helpful.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in healthcare, medical devices, or related industries.
- Understanding of healthcare organizations, insurance, or benefit structures is helpful but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with internal teams and external customers.
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and willing to learn about healthcare accounts, payer contracts, and phototherapy solutions.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software. Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, track, and report on data.
