Server/ Bartender

Job Overview
We are a Greek American restaurant utilizing locally sourced ingredients from the lush Hudson Valley. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Server with some bartending experience to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. We are offering serving shifts as well as bartending depending on your bar knowledge. The ideal candidate will either have full classic cocktail knowledge or some cocktail basics with the aptitude to train as a bartender. We are willing to train the right candidate. Your responsibilities will include menu knowledge, ability to describe dishes or drinks that are unfamiliar to guests, time management, cleaning/busing and handling stress while keeping a smile. Behind the bar we expect you to maintaining cleanliness, creating consistent cocktails in a timely manor and providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall guest experience. This job pays tipped minimum wage or higher depending experience plus tips. (Wages will vary based on tips.)

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service
• Menu Knowledge (both food and beverge)
• Creating drinks to recipe specs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization including washing glassware
• Stock and replenish supplies such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice as needed.
• Help with some mixer preparation when necessary, ensuring all food items meet quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels
• Provide exceptional hospitality by engaging with guests and responding to their needs promptly.
• Follow all health and safety regulations while working in the bar area.

Requirements

• 2 years experience as a server
• Must have basic understanding of order of operations at a bar and have some experience in bartending
• Basic Wine Knowledge
• Familiarity with POS systems (Toast POS experience is a plus)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Passion for food and beverage knowledge
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
• A passion for providing excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
