Material Handler

General Accountability

The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory control through receiving goods, inventory picking activities, and inventory database management. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient warehouse operations and timely delivery of materials while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify parts requisitions, min/max inventory requests, and pull sheets.
• Pick and verify parts and serial numbers based on inventory requests, sales orders, shipping requests, work orders, and production orders with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ensure all picked goods are properly tagged and packaged to meet shipping requirements.
• Communicate part shortages and inventory concerns to appropriate personnel, including Procurement and customers.
• Create sales orders to relieve inventory when required.
• Ensure all inventory bins, storage locations, and containers are clearly and accurately labeled.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through proper adjustment processes.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and year-end inventory activities.
• Monitor and maintain inventory items subject to min/max levels and report shortages to the Buyer/Planner.
• Keep inventory and warehouse areas safe, clean, organized, and accessible.
• Ensure all inventory is clearly identified and easy to locate.
• Prioritize safety in all material handling, storage, shipping, receiving, and housekeeping activities.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments according to established procedures.
• Enter all inventory transactions into SAP in real time, including received, consumed, incoming, and outgoing goods.
• Receive and verify serial numbers on parts and equipment
