Position Overview
The Tax Preparer is responsible for the efficient, accurate, complete, and timely preparation of all assigned clients' tax returns. Advanced technical skills in a variety of tax and accounting areas enable preparers to work on more complex returns.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform technical tax review and preparation of tax returns for individuals and businesses accurately and efficiently
- Participate in client meetings and tax planning efforts
- Assume client service responsibility for assigned clients
Qualifications and Skills
- Preferred: 3 years of individual tax return preparation; experience in preparing Corporate, Estate, and Trust returns; and recent public accounting tax experience
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, client service and PC skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks, clients, and projects
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail
