Position Summary

Phoenix Staff is seeking a Desktop Support Technician I for a short-term contract opportunity with a growing organization in the renewable energy manufacturing industry. This role will primarily support employee onboarding and offboarding, IT asset management, and basic technical support. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of IT experience, strong organizational skills, and a customer-service mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Support IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing equipment, setting up user accounts, and collecting devices from departing employees.
• Track, maintain, and update IT asset inventory, including laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals.
• Assist with equipment deployment, retrieval, and documentation to ensure accurate asset records.
• Provide basic Tier 1 technical support for hardware, software, login, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access management.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams to escalate technical issues when necessary.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in desktop support, help desk, IT support, or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common IT hardware.
• Familiarity with Active Directory or other user account management tools preferred.
• Experience with employee onboarding/offboarding or IT inventory management is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple requests.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow established IT processes.
