Branch Manager – Traffic Services
Reports To: Vice President of Operations
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 40 hours per week overtime as needed
Travel: Occasional travel to client sites and company branches required
Position Overview
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of traffic services and products. This role leads branch staff, ensures customer satisfaction, manages financial performance, and drives growth and profitability. The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with experience in traffic services, construction, or a related industry, who can balance safety, service excellence, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Operations Management
- Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficient service delivery and quality control
- Manage branch budgets, expenses, revenue, and profitability
- Implement and maintain operational procedures to optimize workflow, safety, and compliance
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability of traffic management products and equipment
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal traffic safety regulations
Team Leadership & Staff Development
- Lead, coach, and manage branch staff including technicians, coordinators, and administrative personnel
- Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
- Enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and customer service expectations
- Conduct performance reviews and address personnel concerns as needed
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and local authorities
- Oversee traffic management projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and budget
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and service issues promptly and professionally
- Identify opportunities to improve customer retention and expand market presence
Financial & Administrative Management
- Manage invoicing, budgeting, cost controls, and financial reporting
- Track and report branch performance metrics to senior leadership
- Oversee scheduling, billing, documentation, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure all licensing, insurance, and safety documentation is current
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA standards and industry safety best practices
- Conduct safety audits and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
- Promote environmental responsibility and sustainable practices
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and local contracts
- Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to support marketing initiatives
- Support growth strategies aligned with regional and company goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- (or equivalent work experience)
- 5–7 years of experience in traffic services, construction, or related industry
- 2–3 years of leadership or management experience
- Proven ability to manage operations, teams, and customer relationships
- Experience with traffic management products and services preferred
