Phoenix Sintered Metals of Brockway is looking for a Full Time Machine Operators

3rd shift 11p-7am

Individuals will be responsible for Molding, Sintering, Tumbling and Machining Operation.

Machine Operators Responsibilities Include

• Perform as a team player.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Molding/Shift Supervisor or other authorized management personnel.

• Abide by all rules and regulations set forth in the Employee Manual and Safety Manual.

• Responsible to note and follow any special instructions on the process sheet, visual aids or any other instruction given verbally by the Shift Supervisor, Quality Assurance Technician or your Supervisor.

• Continuously check for any visual defects such as chips, cracks, burrs or any other defects, which would cause a production problem. If any defect is detected, the Operator shall immediately notify any Die Setter, Quality Control Inspector or Shift Supervisor.

• Obtain your own trays for each assigned press.

```

• Do not allow parts to accumulate at the molding press or back-up in a manner which could cause the press to malfunction or damage the parts.

• Slide parts onto trays without damage to the green parts. Depending on the size of the part, fill trays no less than 2 inches from the end of the tray to prevent parts from failing out during transportation/further handling, in accordance to the process sheet.

• Stack trays evenly to prevent movement during transportation. Trays should be stacked as instructed by the Shift Supervisor or process sheet. Also, trays should be evenly stacked on pallets to provide equal weight distribution.

• Responsible to maintain a clean and safe work area.

```

• Do not leave your press at any time. Operators needing to leave their work area shall ask permission from the Molding/Shift Supervisor. Coverage must be maintained in the absence of the operator.

• If you cannot maintain efficient operation in your assigned area for any reason or there are problems, immediately inform the Molding/Shift Supervisor or Die Setter. Example -- If you can't keep up with presses.

• Inform the Molding/Shift Supervisor of any Die Setter not cooperating or presenting a problem with the Molding Press Operator.

• Present suggestions to improve production to the working environment, verbally or in writing, to your immediate Supervisor.

• Do not participate in any unsafe working practice or misconduct, which could jeopardize yours or other coworker's health and welfare and cause damage to the property of Phoenix Sintered Metals, LLC.

• Represent Phoenix Sintered Metals, LLC in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  
  

As an Operator, you must have the ability to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time, and be able to work in an industrial environment.
