Quality Assurance Specialist

A well-established custom manufacturing company who specializes in metal stamping the for plumbing and solar industries in Dundee, MI is in search of a Quality Associate.

Shift: Monday - Friday 6am - 4:30pm

Duties of the Quality Associate will be:

• Perform visual and dimensional analysis of incoming raw materials utilizing Process Control Plans and Check Sheets.
• Perform First Piece, In Process and Final Audit Quality Checks utilizing Process Control Plans and Check Sheets.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits of the QMS as assigned.
• Identify and process material and product Non-Conformances. Complete Non-Conformance Records for Supplier and Internal Non-Conformances.
• Oversee the control and distribution of measurement devices within the facility.
• Maintain Gage Calibration Records on variable Gages and Check Fixtures.
• Review Process PFMEA’s and Control Plan for accuracy and compliance to Internal and Customer Specific Requirements.
• Complete Quality Alerts as assigned. Conduct training of Work Cell and Technical Operators.
• Develop and maintain quality Work Instructions, Job Aids and Forms.
• Collect process / quality data and prepare charts utilizing Pareto Analysis.
• Collect product and quality data for the submission of customer PPAP’s.
• Participate as a member of the facilities Corrective and Process Action Teams.
• Participate in Quality Management System internal and External Audits.
• Maintains quality records as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, technical school and /or equivalent, at least 2 years experience as a Quality Assurance Technician within a manufacturing operation, and the ability to read and understand product blueprints and technical drawings. Must also be proficient in the use of measurement devices to include micrometers, calipers, height gages, GO / NO GO gages and check fixtures, MS Office, and have a general understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
