SMT Technician – Temp-to-Perm | Now Hiring!

We’re seeking an experienced SMT Technician to support daily production, ensure high-quality PCB assemblies, and keep our SMT lines running smoothly. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term growth potential for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or associate degree in electronics/manufacturing preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in SMT assembly, electronics manufacturing, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with SMT equipment such as DEK, Fuji, Juki, MyData, Panasonic, or similar
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards for electronic assemblies
• Ability to read assembly drawings, schematics, and BOMs
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and solid problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor SMT assembly equipment (pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, reflow ovens, AOI systems)
• Perform machine changeovers and adjustments to improve production efficiency
• Inspect assemblies using visual, AOI, and X-ray inspection techniques
• Conduct first article inspections and ensure boards meet IPC and internal quality standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve SMT line issues, equipment malfunctions, and process deviations
• Maintain accurate records of production runs, equipment maintenance, and process parameters
• Follow all ESD control and workplace safety procedures
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvements and corrective actions
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor equipment repairs
• Train and mentor new team members on SMT processes and best practices

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
