Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Jr. Buyer to support purchasing, inventory management, and production coordination activities.
This role is ideal for a junior or senior in college pursuing Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field who wants real exposure to manufacturing operations.
You will work directly with leadership, engineering, and production teams to help ensure materials are available and builds stay on schedule. Your work directly impacts production flow and customer delivery performance.
Responsibilities
Purchasing
- Place purchase orders based on Bills of Materials
- Communicate with domestic and international vendors
- Track open purchase orders and follow up on delivery commitments
- Maintain accurate purchasing records
Inventory and Planning
- Monitor inventory levels and usage trends
- Assist in maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Support weekly production schedule updates
- Identify potential material shortages before they impact builds
Accounting Support
- Enter vendor bills into QuickBooks Online
- Support accounts payable processing and payment tracking
- Assist with maintaining accurate cost documentation tied to purchasing
Operational Support
- Assist with vendor-related RMAs and material returns
- Support internal documentation and process tracking
- Help maintain organized purchasing and production records
- Assist with general administrative tasks related to supply chain operations
Qualifications
- Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Solid math and analytical ability
- Comfortable communicating professionally with vendors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- QuickBooks Online experience is a plus
- Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required
