Company: Phoenix Performance Solutions
Location: Remote preferred, Middle Tennessee strongly preferred
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, or Growth-to-Leadership opportunity
Compensation: Open based on experience, scope, and structure. Performance incentives and potential long-term equity discussion for the right fit.
About Phoenix Performance SolutionsPhoenix Performance Solutions is a fast-growing sports performance brand based in Tennessee. We operate at the intersection of supplements, custom athletic gear, and sports experiences. Our business includes premium custom uniforms and accessories for teams, fan gear and apparel, athletic partnerships, and our flagship supplement, EDGE — a transparent-label pre-workout created by athletes for athletes.
We are not looking for someone to “just make posts.” We are looking for someone who understands how to build demand, create brand momentum, and turn attention into sales.
Phoenix is in a unique stage: we already have proof of concept, active revenue, strong market potential, real products, real customers, and multiple growth channels. We are growing quickly through uniforms, gear, and league activity, and now we need the right marketing leader to help us scale the brand properly, increase supplement sales, strengthen our digital presence, and help position Phoenix as a household name in performance and sports culture.
This role is for someone who wants to help shape the future of a growing brand, not just manage tasks.
The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly capable marketing professional who can take Phoenix to the next level from a strategy and execution standpoint.
The right person will help us:
- Drive awareness and sales for EDGE
- Improve our content strategy and creative direction
- Strengthen our online brand presence across social platforms
- Build and optimize marketing systems that actually convert
- Support growth across supplements, uniforms, gear, leagues, partnerships, and community initiatives
- Develop campaigns that fit a growing business, not a bloated corporate budget
We are open to the right structure for the right person. That may be a paid contractor, part-time marketing lead, full-time hire, or potentially a long-term growth-minded individual open to discussing performance incentives or sweat equity. We care most about finding someone who can truly move the business forward.

- Strong copywriting and messaging skills
- Experience managing or advising creative direction for social content and digital campaigns
- Ability to interpret performance data and make clear recommendations
- Strong communication, ownership, follow-through, and initiative
- Comfortable working in a growing company where speed, adaptability, and resourcefulness matter
- Experience in sports, fitness, supplements, apparel, performance brands, gyms, or athlete communities

- Experience with WooCommerce, Shopify, Klaviyo, Omnisend, Amazon, TikTok Shop, or similar tools

- Experience in event-based marketing, grassroots marketing, or sports community building
- Familiarity with building repeatable systems for lead generation and conversion
- Ability to balance brand-building with performance-driven marketing
You may be a fit if you are someone who:

- Understands both brand and direct response
- Can take ownership without needing constant direction
- Likes building something meaningful from the inside
- Understands sports culture, athlete psychology, and what actually gets attention
- Sees opportunity where others see limitations
- Wants a chance to have real impact on a brand’s next chapter
You are probably not the right fit if you:
- Only work well with big budgets
- Need a fully built-out team before you can execute
- Focus more on vanity metrics than revenue and growth
- Want a narrow role with little flexibility
- Prefer corporate structure over entrepreneurial momentum
In this role, success would look like:
- Stronger brand consistency across all channels
- Better content and more effective messaging
- Increased traffic, leads, and conversions
- Measurable growth in EDGE sales
- A more structured and scalable marketing system
- Better use of partnerships, influencers, and brand ambassadors
- Increased visibility for Phoenix as both a performance brand and sports business
We are open to discussing the right structure based on experience and fit. This may include:
- Monthly retainer
- Part-time or full-time compensation
- Performance incentives
- Revenue-share opportunities tied to agreed growth targets
- Potential long-term equity conversation for the right person with the right vision, track record, and commitment
