Phoenix Paper Wickliffe LLC is searching for qualified candidates to assume the role of Sales Account Manager.
Summary/Objective: Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Sales Account Manager will grow and manage sales nationwide. This includes growing business at existing accounts, with a heavy emphasis on inkjet paper. This position will be responsible for prospecting for new business and providing sales support to our corporate and local business units. This is a salaried, exempt position and, therefore, is considered exempt from overtime.
Key responsibilities of the Sales Account Manager position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identify and develop sales leads through various sources; establish and maintain customer relationships and provide primary customer contact.
- Attend monthly business meetings to review progress and seek out new business for Wickliffe.
- Travel as needed throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
- Make presentations to existing and prospective clients to generate new and additional business.
- Partner with clients to assess marketing and promotional needs.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems and concerns.
- Prepare and approve various sales and business activity reports, and expense reports.
- Prepare and execute sales budgets.
- Plan, prospect, identify, target, contact, and organize sales meetings with contacts based on previous sales experience.
General Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Export and domestic sales experience preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' successful sales experience with pulp/paper is required. Experience with inkjet grades is desired.
- Self-starter, with the ability to operate independently without direct team support.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to interact successfully with various levels of the organization.
- Must be flexible and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Must possess clear written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and strong interpersonal skills; able to respond to, interact and collaborate with clients, vendors/suppliers and employees.
