You will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

Promotes and restores patients’ health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area.

Hires, onboards, directs, mentors, develops, and schedules staff, including communicating job expectations and providing performance reviews.

Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff to implement patient care.

Provides physical and psychological support for patients.

Meets nursing operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; and identifying system improvements.

Provides input on annual budget, monitors expenditures, performs research on investments in equipment or additional staffing, and identifies variances in departmental costs.

Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.

Maintains nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.

Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff and following up on work results.

Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.

Promotes patients’ independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching and counseling patients, friends, and family to reinforce their understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor of Nursing degree; Master’s degree preferred.
