Responsibilities
- Develop detailed fire sprinkler system designs using industry-standard CAD software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
- Create precise schematics, layout plans, and construction documents aligned with project specifications and local codes.
- Utilize advanced 3D modeling tools such as SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and 2D animation to visualize system designs effectively.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
- Review project specifications, perform site visits when necessary, and incorporate field feedback into design revisions.
- Ensure all designs meet NICET III standards for quality, safety, and compliance with fire protection regulations.
- Maintain organized documentation of design iterations, revisions, and project correspondence for seamless project management.
Requirements
- NICET Level III certification in Fire Protection Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience designing fire sprinkler systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation; familiarity with SketchUp and NavisWorks is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, schematics drafting, and construction practices.
- Experience working with civil engineering tools such as Civil 3D; knowledge of 2D animation is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction documents accurately.
