position will also translate documents, forms, and presentations. They
will be responsible for the preparation and completion of the final
product. When necessary, one must have the ability to work with minimum

Work closely with the Child Nutrition team to support staff and program
initiatives and operational needs regarding communication\
Stay informed about updates in policies, language translation best
practices, and technological tools relevant to the role\
Prepares materials for publication, and reads materials to detect errors
in spelling, punctuation, etc.\
Attends school and District community meetings as required for
interpretive responsibilities, interpreting consecutively and/or
simultaneously\
Have reliable transportation to regularly commute between District sites
and work flexible hours to occasionally accommodate evening and weekend
events and meetings\

Demonstrated fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish,
including the ability to accurately interpret and translate complex
information, conduct clear and effective communication, and understand
nuanced language and cultural contexts in both languages\
1 year experience as a translator/interpreter (English/Spanish,

Experience in an educational, medical or legal setting\
2 or more years of experience as a translator/interpreter
(English/Spanish, Spanish/English)

Federal and state laws and regulations governing the preparation,
storage and dissemination of food.\
School food service language, including standardized recipes and
allergen information, kitchen equipment identification\
Effective telephone etiquette
Skilled in:\

Regular interpretation in front of large audiences (20-70 people)\
