Summary
The Director of Technical Operations is responsible for overseeing the company's daily operational functions, ensuring that all behind-the-scenes processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role acts as a bridge between the various departments and the President, allowing the President to focus on broader strategic goals. The Director of Technical Operations plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Essential Functions
- Website Development : Serve as the product manager for the company's website, overseeing the development process and ensuring alignment with business goals. Creation of landing pages. Experience with Angular a plus.
- Support Team Management : Manage a remote team of six who provide billing support, technical support for the website, and flight training assistance. Responsibilities include training, quality assurance, and performance reviews.
- IT and Software Oversight : Collaborate with external contractors on significant IT projects and manage in-house IT initiatives. Oversee all software-related issues to ensure continuous operational efficiency. Point of contact for KEAP CRM.
- Server Management : Liaison with consultants on server architecture.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly manages the support team and coordinates with external IT contractors to ensure all operations are aligned with company standards.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position, requiring 40 hours per week.
Travel
Infrequent travel, approximately 5-6 times per year, is required.
Required Education and Experience
Extensive experience within various company departments, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the company's operations.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in the aviation industry or related fields.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP).
Familiarity with specific technologies used in web development and IT infrastructure.
Advanced leadership training or certifications.
Work Location
Hybrid schedule with 2-3 days on site in Daytona.
Salary
Salary range : $100,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
