Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
- Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations as needed
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, specials, or restaurant policies, demonstrating strong communication skills
- Support food safety and sanitation standards by ensuring cleanliness in the host station area
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless guest flow and exceptional service experience
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and guest billing procedures
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices is a plus
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Hospitality or hotel experience can enhance your ability to deliver guest relations excellence
