Role Description This are full-time and part time on-site Pharmacy Technician role based in Allentown, Colmar, or Lancaster PA. The Pharmacy Technician supports daily pharmacy operations by accurately filling prescriptions, preparing and labeling medications, and assisting pharmacists with order entry and verification. Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining medication inventory, checking for out-of-date products, and helping ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The role also involves communicating with nurses and care teams, addressing routine questions, and providing courteous customer service to internal and external stakeholders. The Pharmacy Technician works as part of a coordinated care team to support timely, safe, and efficient medication delivery to residents.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience handling prescriptions and supporting accurate medication preparation and processing.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflows, preferably in long-term care or similar settings.
- Experience working as a pharmacy technician or in a closely related pharmacy support role.
- Skills in inventory control, including stocking, organizing, and monitoring medication and supply levels.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously with nursing staff, residents, and colleagues.
- High attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to stand, move, and lift moderate weights as required in a pharmacy environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal pharmacy technician training or certification is preferred.
- Eligibility to meet applicable state pharmacy technician registration or licensing requirements.
