About Pho Republic
Pho Republic is a Vietnamese restaurant concept in Frisco featuring traditional Vietnamese phở, rice dishes, bánh mì, appetizers, and modern Asian-inspired dishes.
We are looking for dependable and experienced Line Cooks who care about food quality, speed, cleanliness, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items according to Pho Republic recipes and standards
- Work assigned stations including phở, wok/grill, fryer, and food assembly
- Prepare rice plates, chicken katsu, wings, appetizers, bánh mì, and other dishes
- Assist with meat, vegetable, sauce, and garnish preparation
- Portion ingredients accurately
- Maintain food quality and presentation standards
- Keep assigned stations clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Communicate effectively with the Head Cook and kitchen team
- Work efficiently during lunch and dinner rushes
- Assist with prep work as needed
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, or other Asian restaurant experience is a strong plus
- Experience with wok, grill, or fryer preferred
- Phở experience is a plus but not required
- Willingness to learn Pho Republic recipes and procedures
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining food quality
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong teamwork and positive attitude
Schedule
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Approximately 20–40 hours per week
- Lunch and dinner shifts available
- Weekend availability preferred
- Some holiday availability may be needed
Compensation
Competitive pay – negotiable based on experience and demonstrated skill level
Higher starting pay may be considered for experienced cooks who can independently operate multiple stations or have strong Vietnamese/Asian cooking experience.
