Assistant General Manager

Looking for a new chapter in your restaurant management career? Look no further, Shabuya Shabu Shabu is now hiring for an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead the front of the house charge! Our AGM's are the left and right arms of the General Manager. The qualified individual will be developed and trained on how to effectively manage food cost, labor cost and will learn the fundamentals of what it takes to be a full on, General Manager. In other words, you're next in line.

Putting our own creative spin on this 20th century, invented style of dining, Shabuya offers 6 distinctive soup bases, a premium seafood bar and a selection of USDA Prime, ANGUS and WAGUYU beef cuts that will surely keep guests coming back for more.

AGM's lead by example. They are coaches in our business, not just a supervisor that watches and tells others what to do. Some of the essential job functions include:

Training and developing non-management staff.

Shadowing servers to ensure quality of service.

Coordinating hosts and bussing teams to ensure quick turnaround of tables.

Assisting each function when needed (seating, bussing, food running, serving, line, etc.).

Schedules staff according to business volumes and needs.

Participates in management meetings and provides input to the operation.

Proactively learns new restaurant technology. Does not shy away from it.

Ensures employee meal and rest break compliance.
