Role Description
This is a two-day-per-week internship for class credit. One day each week will be spent in our
Philadelphia office collaborating with the Social Media Manager, while the second day will be
dedicated to Philadelphia Eagles game days throughout the season.
The Social Media Intern will help manage the PHLY Eagles social media accounts on game days,
providing live coverage across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for students interested in a
career in sports media, social media, and digital content creation who want hands-on experience
covering one of the most engaged fan bases in sports
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing PHLY’s social media presence during Eagles game days.
- Publish live updates, highlights, scores, and breaking news across social platforms.
- Clip and distribute clips from our pregame and postgame live shows.
- Monitor fan conversations and trending topics to identify engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to execute content strategies and maintain
PHLY's brand voice.
- Participate in weekly planning sessions from the Philadelphia office to prepare for upcoming
games and content initiatives.
Qualification Requirements:
- Based in the Philadelphia area
- Current college student eligible to receive internship credit
- Availability to work all Eagles game days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as
needed.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms, including Instagram, X, TikTok,
Facebook, and YouTube.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar editing tools
- Excellent writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- A passion for sports, content creation, and a desire to pursue a career in the media industry
