What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomy Trainer position at Phlebotomy?

Our laboratory team has an exciting opportunity for a Phlebotomy Trainer to function as a resource to staff in Phlebotomy and to perform duties within the scope of responsibility of a Phlebotomist. Other duties include: acting as a role model and mentor for department employees; to provide orientation and full training within the department; to oversee training signoffs; to create and implement new training techniques, maintain training material and competencies for all Phlebotomists; performing retraining of Phlebotomists as needed; perform blood collection procedures on patients of all ages, including newborns and children.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum two years of hospital phlebotomy experience including registering patients; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in the use of computers and software; reliable transportation.
Hours: 8:30a-5p with rotating weekends and holidays.
