Phlebotomist Instructor/Director

Position: Phlebotomy Instructor and Director

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive instruction in the art of phlebotomy for aspiring phlebotomists.
• Cultivate a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for students during lecture and all clinical drawing portions.
• Encourage and support students throughout the program to ensure successful completion.
• Deliver our insightful curriculum in a clear and easily comprehensible manner.
• Manage onsite inventory and classroom cleanliness.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including classroom documentation (If applicable).
• Productive attendance and timeliness to all scheduled classes.
• Required reliable transportation and an address to receive inventory boxes.
• Required Technology knowledge with IPads, mirror casting, troubleshooting, etc.
• Preferred - EKG knowledge and work experience

State Requirements:

• Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician in the state of Texas and have a total of five years of administrative or management experience in the medical field years of full-time phlebotomy experience in the last 5 years (including venipunctures, blood collection, lab processing, and special specimen procurement); a copy of the phlebotomy certificate will be required upon request
• Hold at least a high school diploma or GED, and have completed a program of instruction at a recognized school directly related to the field of teaching; a copy of the diploma or transcript will be required upon request.

• Phlebotomy Certification if experience requirements aren't met

Schedule:

Weekend Shift: Saturdays, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Onsite Campus Director additional responsibilities include:

• Work directly with the Licensing Director at PTS for all quarterly or annual state audits, licensing paperwork, and/or attending possible site visits at the location. **All of these tasks will need to be completed under the direction and supervision of the Licensing Director.**
• Depending on your location additional state regulatory director training may be required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
