We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing excellent care for dogs of various breeds and sizes. As a Dog Walker/Pet Sitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our furry clients while providing them with the exercise and socialization they need. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy spending time outdoors and have experience in pet care. It is essential that all care instructions are followed and executed, keeping in line with safety protocols.
Duties
- Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Cat care and sometimes birds and rabbits.
- Monitor each dog's health and behavior during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner.
- Maintain a positive and engaging environment for the dogs.
- Ensure all dogs are leashed securely and follow safety protocols at all times.
- Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain cleanliness in public spaces.
- Communicate effectively through app with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and behavior.
- Reliability and time management are essential.
- Ability to follow specific instructions from pet parents for care routine is essential.
Experience
- Previous experience in dog walking & pet care is required.
- Experience as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or in a kennel setting is beneficial.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential.
Must have a working smart phone to run the walking app, reliable transportation and we background check. This is a contractor position.
