Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
We are seeking a new Dental Hygienist to add to our great team. We are looking to expand the practice and add another hygienist and/or cover one of the current hygienists while she is on maternity leave. This opportunity could be full time, part time or temporary depending on the availability of the job seeker. Looking for someone enthusiastic about dentistry, team oriented, hard working, and a person of integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to promote optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, and updating dental charts to ensure comprehensive care.
• Taking radiographs while adhering to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care, fostering long-term dental health habits.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) .
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical records responsibly.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygiene license with current state licensure.
• Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and documentation review processes.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, anatomy, and medical coding standards.
• Strong patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.

Pay: $85,000.00 per year
