Pay range is $16-$19 with tips (currently around $7/hr
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate Square POS system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change while maintaining precise cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including dishes, seating areas, and equipment.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests with enthusiasm.
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks to support menu offerings and ensure freshness.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without compromising quality or safety.
Skills
- Experience as a barista or in a café environment with knowledge of coffee beverage service.
- Familiarity with POS systems efficient and sales processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Ability to handle retail sales transactions accurately while managing cash handling responsibilities.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling, and basic math skills for accurate order processing.
- Experience in food preparation and beverage service within the food industry is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods effectively.
