Financial Planning Assistant – Part-Time
Philpott Wealth Planning is seeking a dependable, organized, and personable Financial Planning
Assistant to support our growing financial planning practice.
This is a part-time position of approximately 15 hours per week and may be a good fit for someone interested in the financial services industry who enjoys working with clients, staying organized, and helping
a small business operate efficiently.
No securities licenses are required for this position. This is a support role and does not involve providing
investment advice, making investment
recommendations, or soliciting securities transactions.
Responsibilities
Assist with client onboarding and account paperwork
Prepare and organize materials for client meetings
Schedule appointments and manage follow-up items
Maintain and update client information in our CRM
Assist with gathering information for financial plans
Help clients with routine administrative and service requests
Process and track paperwork and account-related requests
Coordinate with custodians, insurance companies, and other financial institutions
Assist with retirement, insurance, estate-planning, and financial-planning administrative workflows
Maintain accurate electronic client files and records
Help prepare client communications and educational materials
Provide general administrative support to the financial advisor
What This Position Does Not Include
This is a non-advisory support position. The employee will not independently provide financial or
investment advice, recommend securities or investment strategies, accept securities orders, or perform activities requiring securities registration.
Qualifications
Strong organizational and communication skills
Professional and comfortable interacting with clients
Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
Comfortable working with computers and learning financial-planning software
Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
Financial services, banking, insurance, accounting, or administrative experience is helpful but not
required
Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive client information
Experience with LPL Financial, Wealthbox, RightCapital, or similar financial-services technology is a plus.
Schedule
Approximately 15-20 hours per week, with some flexibility in scheduling.
Compensation
Compensation is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
