What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Philpac Corp.?
Buffalo. Philpac. Maintenance Technician. $30 - $31/hour.

The selected candidate will assist in preserving the good operating condition of the company's production equipment. This is done through regular preventative maintenance and break/fix work, as necessary. Because of this, prior experience working with equipment in the box/packaging industry is preferred. Additionally, the selected candidate may perform facility maintenance tasks including painting, landscaping, and minor plumbing/electrical repairs, and ensure the proper functioning of mechanical systems on the premises. The Maintenance Technician may also make periodic visits to select customers to perform maintenance/repairs on previously sold equipment (stretch wrappers, paper packing, strapping machines, etc.).

Education
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- A valid drivers license is required
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field will be a plus.
- A minimum of five years of industrial maintenance experience is required.
- Prior experience in the corrugated and/or packaging industry is preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, preventative maintenance processes, and methods.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Lifting capacity of 25 to 50 pounds
