The Forklift/Freezer assists the freezer team with organizing, stocking, pulling, and storing pallets in and out of the freezer. Freezer forklift operators may load and unload trucks for their designated work area. Freezer forklift operators will assist the other warehouse team members to pull product from their designated freezer for current day's order to be processed for delivery. They will also load product that comes from production to be stored in the freezer.
Freezers temperatures range between -10 to -30 degrees.
Stand-up forklift experience required. Testing will be conducted during the interview process.
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt
Schedule:
Monday – Saturday 7:30 am – 5 pm 5-day rotational schedule. Hours will vary depending on volume.
Occasionally, additional hours may be required to complete tasks and/or projects.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe and positive environment and experience for the members.
- Stocking, rotate, and store general merchandise and food.
- Follow stocking policies and procedures.
- Complete and maintain necessary training and annual safety re-certifications to effectively operate a forklift.
- Execution of daily order list, mold list and non-moving products.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Forklift license and experience 2 years min. Standup forklift experience required.
- Ability to work in -10 to -35 degrees.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to maintain and coordinate tasks and orders.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
Other:
- Ability to work in extremely cold temperatures
- Standing throughout entirety of shift
- Detail oriented
- Ability to read, write, count and do basic math
- Ability to work independently and with a team daily
- Ability to maneuver forklift in confined space
