About the Role
Student housing is fast-paced, relational, and uniquely rewarding. As the Assistant General Manager of University Edge, you will help lead the property to high occupancy, strong resident satisfaction, and consistent operational success.
This is both a leadership role and a sales role. While you’ll support daily operations and team development, you will also be expected to drive leasing performance, lead by example in sales efforts, and consistently make outbound calls and follow-ups to convert leads and secure renewals.
What You’ll Do
Sales & Leasing Leadership
- Take an active role in driving leasing results, including making calls, touring prospects, closing leases, and supporting renewal campaigns.
- Follow up on daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals for the team and help ensure they are achieved.
- Lead by example through consistent outbound communication and follow-up strategies.
Facility & Operational Management
- Partner with leasing, maintenance, and corporate teams to maintain a clean, well-operated community.
- Oversee property inspections, vendor management, and ongoing project coordination.
Team Direction & Leadership
- Provide guidance, clarity, and expectations for the leasing team.
- Participate in leadership meetings to align on goals and operational needs.
Hospitality & Resident Experience
- Greet residents, assist with calls, manage escalations, and follow up with residents and guarantors.
- Respond to incidents and coordinate next steps professionally and promptly.
Financial Management
- Manage rent collection, delinquency, purchase orders, invoicing, and vendor payments through our suite of software tools.
Community Engagement & Events
- Help plan resident events, engage with campus, and foster relationships with local businesses.
- Use creativity to build community connection and enhance the resident experience.
Experience You Bring

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $41,000–$45,000
- Annual Performance Bonus: ~$5,000
- Commission: Estimated $1,500–$3,000 (not capped)
