IT Support Specialist responsibilities
- Troubleshoot technological issues and solve problems quickly to ensure our business operations run smoothly
- Install all new technology for the company, including computer operating systems, software programs and applications, new desktops, and other computer hardware
- Perform regular maintenance for our phone systems, computer systems, computers, printers, network systems, and any other technical equipment
- Manage physical asset inventory to ensure ample assets are ready for new hires and license inventory to ensure appropriate billing
- Administer new user accounts, work email addresses, and access levels to new employees to ensure they have everything they need to work efficiently
- Ensure our computers are backed up so all files are saved in case the system crashes
- Run security checks on all systems and ensure monthly IT trainings and phishing tests are triggered monthly via Microsoft Defender to ensure protection from cybersecurity threats
- Onboard new employees (remotely and in office)
- Package and ship employee equipment for new hires or hybrid works
- Travel occasionally to additional offices to provide end user support or upgrade/maintain systems
- Work with internal CRM team to troubleshoot integration issues and IT MSP to escalate tickets
IT Support Specialist qualifications and experience
- High school diploma required, associate's degree in computer science or information technology preferred
- At least two years experience in a professional IT work environment
- Familiarity with multiple computer operating systems, such as Windows, Mac, and Salesforce
- General knowledge of troubleshooting Internet connectivity, phone systems, network systems, and other technological office equipment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills and desire to help the company succeed
- Experience using Active Directory to manage user accounts and groups
- Experience using Microsoft Entra/Azure to manage user accounts, groups, enterprise applications, security policies, and conditional access
- Experience working with Cisco Meraki devices and managing access points in Meraki Dashboard
- Experience adding and deploying devices with Autopilot
- Experience managing web-based print service preferred
- Experience managing VOIP systems preferred
