The Aggregate Screening & Material Handling Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a portable truck unloader and radial stacker conveyor to efficiently unload, transport, and stockpile aggregate materials. This role requires experience with heavy equipment operation, strong mechanical skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards in an aggregate or mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a portable truck unloader to efficiently unload aggregate from trucks and feed materials into processing or stockpiling systems.
- Control and adjust a radial stacker conveyor to create uniform stockpiles of aggregate materials.
- Monitor material flow and equipment performance, making adjustments as necessary to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Inspect equipment daily and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Ensure proper sizing, sorting, and stockpiling of aggregates to meet production requirements.
- Communicate with truck drivers, loader operators, and plant personnel to coordinate unloading and stacking operations.
- Maintain accurate records of materials unloaded and stockpiled.
- Follow all OSHA, and company safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
- Assist with other aggregate plant duties as needed.
