Job Title: Gate Attendant

Summary:
The Gate Attendant is responsible for monitoring and controlling access to active construction sites. Stationed at the site entrance, this role ensures the safety and security of personnel, equipment, and materials by verifying credentials, logging entries and exits, and maintaining a consistent security presence. The Gate Attendant works closely with site management to uphold visitor policies and deter unauthorized access during and after working hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor and control access to the construction site through the designated gate or guard shack.

Verify credentials of employees, subcontractors, and visitors before allowing site entry.

Record and maintain accurate logs of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries entering and exiting the site.

Conduct perimeter checks and monitor designated areas for security or safety concerns.

Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches to appropriate personnel immediately.

Maintain open communication with site supervision and emergency services when necessary.

Enforce site access protocols and ensure compliance with safety and security policies.

Provide a consistent and visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.
Requirements:

Basic knowledge of security procedures and visitor control.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in a gate attendant, security, or construction support role preferred.

Security guard license or certification, if required by local or state law.
Pre-Employment Requirement:
