We are a family-oriented farming operation dedicated to quality livestock production and efficient transportation. We’re looking for a dependable and experienced Commercial Truck Driver to join our team and haul pigs between farms and processing facilities.
Position Overview
The Livestock Truck Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently hauling pigs using company equipment. The role requires attention to animal welfare, biosecurity protocols, and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain commercial trucks and livestock trailers.
- Load, transport, and unload pigs in a humane and efficient manner.
- Follow animal welfare standards and biosecurity guidelines at all times.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery records.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Communicate with dispatch and farm managers regarding schedules and loads.
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Class A preferred).
- Clean driving record.
- Prior experience hauling livestock (pigs preferred, but not required—training available).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings.
- Commitment to animal care and safety.
