Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, bend, and install wiring, conduit, and fixtures according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support accurate installation and repairs.
- Support the setup of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and ensure system integrity.
- Maintain a clean and safe construction site by following safety protocols related to electrical work, including working with low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry tasks when required for electrical installations within structures.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals under supervision.
Experience
- Previous experience or exposure to industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction site safety practices.
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Experience working on construction sites or in environments requiring adherence to safety standards.
- Knowledge of NEC guidelines related to low voltage and high voltage systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced settings.
