NOW HIRING: APPRAISAL CLERK
The Phillips County Appraiser’s Office is accepting applications for an Appraisal Clerk position. The Appraisal Clerk performs a variety of administrative, clerical, and customer service duties in support of the County Appraiser’s Office. Responsibilities include assisting with property record maintenance, data entry, customer service, data requests, filing, report preparation, and other office functions related to the appraisal and assessment of real and personal property in accordance with Kansas laws and regulations. This position involves a combination of indoor office work and outdoor field work. The successful applicant must have a valid Kansas Driver’s License. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training sessions, or visits to county facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update property records and related information
- Perform data entry and clerical duties
- Assist with public inquiries and provide customer service
- Organize and maintain files and records
- Assist with preparing reports and other documents
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the County Appraiser’s Office
Qualifications
- Valid Kansas Driver’s License required- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with the public and county staff
- Basic computer and data entry skills (Outlook, Excel, Windows 11)
- Attention to details and accuracy
- Ability to perform both office and outdoor field duties
- Ability to travel occasionally for trainings, meetings, and other county facilities
