Key Responsibilities
- Engage with children in a safe, caring, and developmentally appropriate environment
- Support the lead aftercare staff with supervision, activity facilitation, and snack distribution
- Take initiative in setting up and leading games, projects, or creative activities
- Walk students to the health office and communicate with school staff as needed
- Support conflict resolution and help guide children through problem-solving
- Ensure safety and uphold positive behavioral expectations
- Foster independence by assisting children with clean-up and age-appropriate responsibilities
- Contribute ideas for improving the aftercare experience and program structure
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited college
- Experience working with children (camp, aftercare, classroom, tutoring, etc.)
- Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in or experience with teaching or child development
- Self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic, supportive environment
- Hands-on mentorship and support from lead staff and site supervisor
- Onboarding and in-house professional development to build your skills and confidence
- Opportunities for growth within our program or toward a classroom teaching path
