Responsibilities
- Safely operate a standard pickup truck with lifegate, to deliver new and remove old appliances to customer locations promptly and reliably.
- Install a variety of household appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, over the range microwaves, cooktops, and wall ovens following manufacturer specifications and schematics.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues on-site using technical knowledge of refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, step stool, appliance dolly, and other equipment to assemble and install appliances efficiently and securely.
- Conduct thorough inspections of appliances post-installation to ensure proper operation and adherence to safety standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by explaining appliance features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction with the installation process.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries/installations reports for records.
Requirements
- Proven experience with appliance repair, installation, or field service roles; familiarity with service technician practices is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including electrical work and plumbing connections.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other equipment used in appliance installation.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles such as box trucks; clean driving record required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Experience working in maintenance, repair operations (MRO), or similar field service environments preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical experience and plumbing fundamentals relevant to appliance setup is a plus.
- Ability to regularly lift over 50 to 100 pounds of dead weight unassisted.
