Salary Range : $5,200 - $5,500
Phillips Academy seeks an Assistant Coach for Varsity Girls’ Hockey for the 2026–27 winter season.
Working alongside the varsity hockey head coach and fellow assistant coach, responsibilities include developing individual skills, teamwork and sportsmanship among student-athletes. Experience playing and/or coaching hockey required and experience working with high school age students preferred. Full background check required.
Commitment is approximately 25 hours per week (Monday – Saturday) from mid-November through first weekend in March with typically four 100-minute practice windows and two games, home and away, per week through entirety of season. Daily practice window falls between 3:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. Wednesday game day commitment can fall within window of 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. depending on schedule. The team travels to an overnight holiday tournament in Connecticut in mid-December.

- Ability to positively motivate, inspire and be role model to students.
- At least 2 years’ experience coaching hockey in club, high school or college setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hockey experience at high school, college or higher level.
- Be adaptable and enjoy working alongside the current coaching staff
- Ability and willingness to manage a Monday-Saturday practice/game schedule which includes travel to away opponents.
