Job Responsibilities:
- Provide intensive one-on-one therapy to children ages 1 - 6 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related childhood disorders in a clinic setting
- Implement communication and behavior acquisition treatment as outlined by a treatment plan
- Collect data
- Maintain the client's program book
- Develop/create teaching materials
- Discuss client's daily progress with parents/caretakers
- Work with BCBA to implement individualized goals and checklists
- Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
- Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients
- Maintain technical and professional knowledge with continuing education
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Ideal candidate will be a current undergraduate/graduate student in Behavior Analysis, Psychology or Education
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Outstanding social skills
- Excellent observational and analytical skills
- Candidates must be patient, flexible, energetic, self-motivated, creative, and must work well in a team environment
- Experience working with children
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willing to obtain certifications within 45 days of hire
- Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time
- Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- CPR and First Aid certified (preferred not required)
- Pass criminal background check
Special Considerations:
- Candidates who have prior experience working with children with special needs
- Candidates who are bilingual or ASL-proficient
Pay Rate: varies depending on experience and education
Schedule: 30-40 hours / per week, Mon - Friday, no evenings
