This role involves managing preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, coordinating emergency repairs, and driving continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership:Manage, train, and schedule maintenance technicians across multiple shifts. Oversee unionized or non-union workforces in compliance with labor agreements.
- Maintenance Strategy:Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) like SAP or Maximo.
- Production Uptime:Troubleshoot and repair robotic cells (Fanuc, ABB), CNC machines, stamping presses, and conveyor systems to minimize downtime.
- Safety & Compliance:Ensure all work meets OSHA, MIOSHA, and environmental standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
- Budgeting:Manage the maintenance budget, including spare parts inventory and contractor services.
- Education:Associate’s degree in a technical field or a Journeyman card is preferred; a Bachelor’s in Engineering is a plus.
- Experience:5 years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in PLCs (Allen Bradley/Siemens), hydraulics, pneumatics, and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Knowledge:Familiarity with IATF 16949 quality standards and Six Sigma/Lean methodologies.
