Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Manager with a proven record of leading complex factory operations. This person will be responsible for daily production performance while developing the people, processes, and operating discipline needed to support long-term growth.
The ideal candidate understands how to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced plant, solve problems at their source, and build a team that consistently delivers on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
- Coach and develop supervisors, team leaders, and production employees. Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and build accountability at every level.
- Assess production processes, identify bottlenecks and recurring issues, and lead improvements that produce measurable results.
- Establish and maintain standard work, performance metrics, and daily management routines.
- Partner with quality, maintenance, engineering, materials, and supply chain teams to resolve problems and improve plant performance.
- Manage staffing, labor planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across changing production demands.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for safety incidents, quality concerns, downtime, and delivery misses.
- Support new product launches, process changes, equipment installations, and capacity improvements.
- Build a culture of employee engagement, continuous improvement, and ownership of results.
Qualifications
- Significant manufacturing leadership experience in a complex factory environment, such as an operation with multiple production processes, changing customer requirements, demanding quality standards, or a high-mix product portfolio.
- Demonstrated success leading supervisors and production teams and developing employees into stronger leaders.
- A track record of improving manufacturing processes and delivering results in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, problem solving, root-cause analysis, and performance management.
- Ability to work effectively across functions and make sound decisions in a fast-paced operation.
- Clear communication skills and a leadership style that combines high standards with practical support for the team.
